Job Title: Ecommerce Manager

Job Title: Ecommerce Manager
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Reports To: Managing Director / Head of Marketing
Salary: Competitive Salary
Hours: Full-time

About Us

We’re a leading wholesaler in the pet industry supplying retailers nationwide with premium pet nutrition and products. Our ecommerce channels are growing rapidly, and we’re on the hunt for a results-driven Ecommerce Manager to take the reins and lead our digital retail strategy.

If you love data, digital growth, and dogs—this might just be your dream job.

The Role

As our Ecommerce Manager, you’ll be responsible for the performance and growth of our online sales channels, including our B2B ecommerce platform and third-party marketplaces. This is a strategic, hands-on role that combines digital marketing, commercial acumen, and operational oversight.

You’ll lead the planning and execution of online initiatives to drive sales, improve customer experience, and optimise performance—while keeping one eye on stock levels and the other on Google Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the ecommerce strategy in line with company goals
  • Oversee the management and performance of our ecommerce platforms (website, Amazon, eBay, etc.)
  • Analyse site traffic, conversion, AOV, and other key KPIs to inform decisions
  • Collaborate with marketing to deliver promotional campaigns, SEO improvements, and content updates
  • Optimise the online customer journey and checkout experience
  • Manage product listings, pricing strategies, and digital merchandising
  • Forecast online demand and liaise with the supply chain team to ensure product availability
  • Explore and implement new ecommerce tools, integrations, and technologies
  • Build and manage a small team as ecommerce operations scale
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to ensure we’re leading the pack

About You

  • Proven experience in an ecommerce management role, ideally within wholesale or retail
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, Amazon Seller Central)
  • Confident with data and analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio, Excel, etc.)
  • A commercial mindset with a track record of delivering online growth
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Passion for pets and an understanding of the pet care market is a big plus
  • Bonus points for experience in B2B ecommerce and multi-channel integration

What We Offer

  • A leadership role in a growing, pet-loving business
  • The opportunity to shape and scale our ecommerce strategy from the ground up
  • Staff discount on pet products (your pets will love you even more)
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Friendly, down-to-earth team (and often a dog or two in the office)
