Our Restaurant's T&C's and Allergen Information

1. General 

  • By making a reservation at our restaurant, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. 

  • These terms apply to both online and phone reservations. 

  • There is a 24 h cancellation policy on bookings. This can be done via email bookings@scottsofsouthend.co.uk or 01702611211 or alternatively you can cancel via your email confirmation 

2. Reservation Confirmation 

  • All tables are subject to availability and cannot be reserved. We will do our best to accommodate requests. 

  • A confirmation email or message will be sent upon successful reservation. 

  • If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us directly. 

3. Booking Amendments and Cancellations 

  • We kindly request that any changes or cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance. 

  • For cancellations or amendments, please contact us Tel. 01702611211 or email bookings@scottsofsouthend.co.uk or alternatively you can cancel/amend via your email confirmation 

4. Late Arrivals 

  • We will hold your table for up to 15 minutes after the reserved time. 

  • If you anticipate being late, please inform us as soon as possible. 

  • Late arrivals without prior notice may result in the cancellation of your booking. 

5. Group Bookings 

  • Group bookings are subject to additional terms, which will be communicated during the booking process. 

6. Deposits and Payments 

  • A service charge of 10% is optional and will apply to your bill unless declined. 

  • Payment for meals and services is due on the day of dining unless prepaid arrangements are made. 

7. Garden Seating 

  • Garden seating is weather-dependent and subject to availability. 

  • In the event of adverse weather, we will do our best to accommodate guests indoors, but this cannot be guaranteed. 

8. Dietary Requirements and Allergies 

  • Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies at the time of booking. 

  • While we will make every effort to accommodate special requests, we cannot guarantee that dishes will be completely allergen-free. 

9. Special Events and Promotions 

  • Vouchers are subject to expiration dates and cannot be redeemed past the validity period. Expired vouchers will not be accepted. 

  • Separate terms may apply to special events and promotions. 

  • These will be communicated when reservations are made for such occasions. 

10. Right to Refuse Service 

  • The restaurant reserves the right to refuse service to guests who fail to comply with these terms or engage in inappropriate behaviour. 

11. Liability 

  • The restaurant is not responsible for personal belongings lost or damaged on the premises. 

  • Guests are responsible for their personal conduct and the behaviour of their party. 

12. Data Protection 

  • Any personal information provided during the booking process will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy. 

  • We are committed to protecting your credit card information and ensuring secure transactions. Credit card details are stored securely in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access. Information is retained solely to facilitate future transactions, recurring payments, or subscriptions as authorized by you. Access to this data is limited to authorized personnel, and payment processing is handled by secure third-party gateways. You can request the deletion of your stored credit card details at any time. While we employ strong security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute protection and are not liable for unauthorized access unless due to our negligence 

14. Afternoon Tea Bookings 

  • We might require card details to secure the booking. 

  • Kindly inform us of any allergies and dietaries in advance, as our afternoon teas are freshly prepared on the day. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, we may not be able to make last-minute adjustments. 

  •  The afternoon tea is per person and is not available to share. 

  • Unlimited tea is the standard drink that comes with your Afternoon Tea. You may swap your unlimited tea for, 2 glasses of juice per person or 2 cups of either black coffee, latte or flat white. Any drinks outside of this will be billed to your table. 

  • Please note that Afternoon Tea is not available in the garden area  

  • Any special requests or allergies are to be made clear at time of booking or via email or phone at least 24h before the booking, we might not be able to accommodate the request for late  

  • You will have your table for 2 hours.  

  • We have 24 hours cancellation policy This can be done via email or phone. bookings@scottsofsouthend.co.uk or 01702611211 

  • If you fail to contact us £10 pp will be charged on your card as aa cancelation fee. 

  • We have 2 time slots for our Afternoon Tea, the first slot is 12pm-2pm and the second is 2pm-4pm. 

  • Dogs are no longer allowed to accompany you for afternoon tea as the new area is not dog friendly. If you wish to dine with your dog, you’re welcome to use our garden area for breakfast, lunch, cake and drinks. 

 

15. Amendments to Terms & Conditions 

  • The restaurant reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. 

  • Any updates will be published on our website.
